
KEEPING IN TOUCH
E-mailing customers on your e-mail list can quickly become one of the most profitable forms of marketing that any business can spend time doing. A business's email list can be pure gold when the correct strategies are implemented. The people on your list want to hear from you, and keeping in touch through e-mail marketing is an effective way to remind them about your brand.

MAIL CHIMP
All of my personal experience and success with e-mail marketing comes from utilizing Mail Chimp. By connecting Mail Chimp to our Shopify stores I was able to take full advantage of their easy to use interface to reach our customers in order to increase sales. From monthly campaigns to landing pages, I heavily relied on our email list to stay in touch with customers and meet sales goals.
PERFORMANCE
In a 6 month period we accumulated $50,000 in revenue via Mail Chimp. This is a summary of the performance of our marketing with Mail Chimp over a 12 month period, but Sabbat Box officially "closed" in January of 2020, and the furthest the analytics will allow you to go back is the previous year. The report was pulled in June of 2020. The last email sent was October of 2019.


ENGAGEMENT
In this same 6 month period, 85,000 emails were sent in total. As you can see I was able to draw interest from our recipients with the content that was sent and have them open, click and engage with our emails. Overall 43.44% of the amount sent were opened, 10.97% of those that opened the email clicked something in the email, 155% of those emails clicked added an item to the cart, and 98.16% of the people that added an item to the cart made a purchase.


Our average benchmarking consisted of a 33.6% open rate and a 9.1% click rate. Our peer's average open rate was 19.7% and their average click rate was 2.8%.
LANDING PAGES
Another functionality within Mail Chimp that I would utilize to drive traffic from specific locations online (predominantly via social media) were landing pages. Landing pages were similar to our e-mail blasts in that they were a centralized location where potential customers could sign up for a subscription box and see past boxes all in one place. I utilized the same look and feel as our e-mail blasts to maximize the success at drawing in new business.

Here is a preview of the email blast sent out that correlates with the above revenue. We were able to reach our marketing goals by getting straight to the point of the email, while also creating a sense of urgency. This paired with a cohesive design and consistent e-mailing schedule gave us the ability to best monetize from our lists.
